Program Overview – Bridging the Gap to Homeownership
The Equity Empowerment Program (EEP) is a community-rooted coaching and accountability initiative designed to transform mortgage-denied applicants and underbanked households into mortgage-ready homebuyers within 6–12 months.
EEP addresses the real barriers to homeownership. Including low credit scores, debt, and limited savings — through a structured transformation pipeline that includes: - 6-Week Group Financial Coaching - 6 Months of Executive Coaching - Biweekly Financial Q&A Sessions - Access to tools and real-world incentives to accelerate results
In 2023, 32% of African American homeownership applications was declined. The EEP Program tackles this challenge head on.
EEP directly supports Fair Lending goals by: - Offering sponsored coaching to households seeking homeownership - Ensuring all participants are sent back to sponsors and designated lenders for mortgage origination - Providing a replicable pipeline of pre-qualified, engaged borrowers - Addressing racial and geographic lending gaps without burdening internal staff.
